The focus of this workshop was building in a way that connected the structure and the people to the energy flows of the universe. Stella reminded participants to use all of their six senses to touch, listen, taste, smell, see, and intuit their surroundings.
This is a slide show of a dome that was built by Angel and his family in Tepoztland, Mexico with the assistance of Guiding Star Creations. The dome has a 13 ft (4m) interior diameter and features a loft space, custom glass door, windows, and skylight designed by Angel.
In July 2009 Guiding Star Creations co-created this 9 day workshop with hosts Eric and Nancy. This dome was build as a WWOOFer's (farm stay) cottage for Eric and Nancey's 14 acre organic farm. The dome has a 3m(10ft) interior diameter and the walls are 30cm(1ft) thick.
This project was headed and designed by Ian lodge who I assisted as part of my year long apprenticeship at Cal-Earth in 2007. This house is 5 connecting domes that was built in two months. The location is Pescadero, Baja California Sur, just south of Todos Santos Mexico.
